The now defunct King's Gunworks.
Like other vintage 1911 parts, they show up on ebay, gunbroker, etc., occasionally.

True, but it is has several improvements over the King, which is no longer available except as used take-offs or the occasionally discovered new-in-the-bag part. A far more durable part that can be visually modified to look exactly like the King if you must, although it would eliminate a bit of the improvement.

Mueschke used an extended sear pin as the retainer, but King's, Kimber, EGW, et al. all use the hammer pin.
I think King's was first.

The Kings thumb saftey ledge starts far back and overlaps the pivot pin. On cast parts this extra thickness reinforces the flange to pin area where safteys can fracture. I have a Kings strong side thumb safety on a Springer 9mm Loaded and like the shape and construction very much. With barstock parts made with a proper radius at the base of the pin, the weakness is minimized. The flange thickness plays a part also and the thicker flange makes tuning the plunger to flange fit easier. And stronger.

Wow, that does look like the old King's part, as much as the Wilson ambi looks like a Swenson, anyway.
