I am considering putting base pads on my mags for my RIA 9mm tac. Reasoning is it might/should make it easier to insure the mags are locked in securely when reloading.

Anyone use them - what kind and how thick a pad? Thanks for any input.

I installed the magazine bumper pads. Only took a couple of minutes. They are Glend Arms Base Pads from Midway (#277586). They fit the pre-drilled holes on the Springfield Armory and Checkmate (came with the gun) magazines. They are $9.99 for 3 pads. I had to tap the holes on the Springer mags (4-40 tap). The Checkmate mag was already tapped. A drop of blue locktite on each screw and they won't come loose on their own.
