Has anyone mod'ed an ext slide stop to improve effectiveness based on their technique or desired technique?

I'm planning to mod a Wilson extended to be a much shorter extension and a bit narrower for CCW. I had a slightly narrowed one before, but I want to go more radical as I think I'm bumping this thing sometimes while shooting.

I just thought I would ask. I know this is popular with thumb safeties.

just my thoughts, Nate, but why an extended SS if you're just going to grind it down?

you mentioned technique ..
the fastest technique for mag changes is to insert mag and thumb the slide stop with support hand as it moves into support hand shooting position .
It's uber fast and seamless motion .

I don't have a left hand.

I'll be sizing the slide stop just NG enough that I can drop the slide with my thumb, but without extra length that may cause issues.

Stock can be made to work, but with a grip shift...

I know a gentlemen in Twin Falls that loves shooting handguns because he has no left arm. He owns quite a few handguns and I love helping him look for a new pistol or revolver whenever he happens to be in the same shop as myself.
