i finally got out today to break in my new SA Loaded. Loved it! When i tried to reduced the creep on the trigger, though, it would only let me reduce it a little and then it would not allow the trigger to be pulled. Is this normal or should i be a be able to reduce the creep completely? AND, with the gun came a coupon for some possibly cool stuff. Are these really good deals? If so, which ones shold i take advantage of? Thanks in advance.

The screw on your trigger is not for reducing trigger creep.

It is for reducing trigger over travel once the hammer has dropped.

If you set it too far in, the hammer will not drop. Or the sear may hit the half cock notch damaging the sear and spoiling your trigger pull.

If you set it too far out, you will have too much over travel.

I suggest you start another thread and ask some of the professional pistol smiths how to adjust the trigger screw.

I can adjust mine for myself but would prefer that some of the pros tell you how to do it.

You're welcome, d.

Don't do any shooting or dry firing until you are sure it is properly adjusted or you can damage your sear which will ruin the trigger pull.

You might take it to a local professional gunsmith and tell him you have mistakenly tried to adjust it and pay him to make the proper adjustment. Then just leave it alone.

Keep shooting your pistol until it is broken in. Often, the trigger pull gets better with a lot of use.

If not and you are not satisfied with it, then decide if you want to take or send it to a top notch pistol smith for a trigger job. Usually about $100 plus parts, if any.

You probably did not do any permanent damage so far but you must get the proper adjustment made by someone who knows what they are doing.

Good luck with your new pistol.
