Yea I know it sounds lame, but its the dumb questions I ask that save me time and money. I have a standared 7 round Kimber mag that has 2 pre drilled holes already there. I have a factory kimber extended base pad with 2 screws. I wanted to know if I should run a #43 tap through the holes before mounting the base pad or just run the screws straight in with out tapping the holes, and should I use some blue, or red lock tight just in case.

The screws that came with it are the proper length and are self tapping. Just screw them in. Never needed locktite on mine.
